How to reduce energy consumption at domestic level and how supporting households in investing in green energy?
STEP BY STEP is coming to an end: during these years, the households from 4 European cities have been supported to change their behaviours and attitude about energy consumption. An energy-saving culture and an increased awareness about environmental issues have been strongly promoted.
Specifically, a personalised, step-by-step and free of charge coaching, suggesting easy daily actions, has been carried out in Ghent (Belgium), Warsaw (Poland), L’Alcúdia (Spain) and in Cefalù (PA – Italy) involving more than 6000 households.
As Italian project’s partners, CESIE and the Municipality of Cefalù have managed the implementation of the activities in Cefalù offering a targeted coaching to guide participating households to choose sustainable energy behaviours, being active supporters of reducing climate change impact.
On January 27th 2018, during the final local event of STEP BY STEP, the final results achieved throughout 30 months of project’s implementation will be shown. Moreover, we will talk about environmental protection through solar energy and sustainable mobility thanks to the contribution of Prof. Mario Pagliaro from “Polo Fotovoltaico della Sicilia” and Mr. Domenico Caminiti from AMAT.
The morning session will come to an end with a Quiz on energy savings addressed to high schools and the award ceremony.
In the afternoon, the “Energy saving Fair” will be opened with stands of companies and experts from the field of renewable energy.
The fair will be opened also on Sunday, 28th January: some streets will be closed and a test driving of electric cars will be available.
The event is open to the public. Everyone is invited!

Step by step commitments for energy savings is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. It aims at improving the behaviours and lifestyle of citizens about energy saving and to increase environmental awareness.
