CiProVoT: Final meeting and launch of the MOOC for Civil Protection Volunteers
From 10th to 11th December the final partner meeting was held in Espinho (Portugal) at the premises of APSU - ASSOCIAÇÃO PORTUGUESA DE STARTUPS.
CiProVoT aimed at developing a trans-national training course module and a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) for Civil Protection volunteers, as well as create a European community of Civil Protection Volunteers.
During the meeting partners presented the results of the national Multiplier Events organised in each Country and discussed on the strategic exploitation of the project results through working groups and presentations.
A Technical visit to one of the most significant Portuguese company in the Civil Protection sector, named Jacinto, has been organised during the second part of the meeting. Jacinto develops/equips all types of fire fighting vehicles for different EU Countries.
The online training course consists of 4 Modules:
- Introductory Module- The EU Civil Protection Mechanism and National Civil Protection Mechanism
- Module 1- Natural hazard & Disaster Risk Reduction
- Module 2- Emergency planning
- Module 3- ICT for Disaster Risk Reduction Activities
The English course is freely available at the CiProVoT project website https://ciprovot-project.eu/learn/ and it will be accessible in Portuguese, Italian and Greek in the next few weeks.
