The final meeting of closure and dissemination of the project”View n ‘Act-Film Education for the Promotion of Active Citizenship” has been held in Riga, Latvia (8-11 July 2010) and has been attended by more than 20 people from the five partner organisations: CE.S.IE, Cyclisis from Greece (project coordinators) Fundacion Docete Omnes (Cece Granada) from Spain, Eurofortis from Latvia Projektwerkstatt Umwelt und Entwicklung from Germany.
The project (LLP-Grundtvig-Learning Partnership), which ends this month, has last two years in which five meetings have been held in all partner countries and best practices for using the tool for film promotion of active citizenship in adults have been developed. At local level and during all the meetings were shown several films on the theme of immigration and integration, with subsequent debates and comments have also allowed an intercultural exchange between the various participants. In addition, the partners conducted a research with adult trainers in all participating countries, whose aim was to understand their needs in the use of films as an educational tool.
Aims and objectives: to disseminate information on the project and the Grundtvig programme between different participants (trainers, NGO workers, volunteers, etc.); discuss the final project product, a handbook that will contain the various practices developed, a report of each learning partnership meeting, and other articles about active citizenship, the use of films in the development of social skills and integration of immigrants; exchanging experiences and good practices developed in the months between the meeting in February in Palermo and this last meeting in Riga; prepare final report and develop ideas for the presentation of new projects as a follow up of this; to know other professionals in the field of vocational and adult education and to enable intercultural dialogue between different participants.
