Last March and April 2012, 32 delegates of Employment offices of Polish cities Chelmno and Brodnica participated to a study visit, fund by the Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci – Mobility for Professionals in Vocational Education and Training.
Some of the stagers were also representatives of the Foundation Pro Europa and other 2 Polish Municipalities.
The projects titled “Social economy for vocational activation of the excluded on the basis of Italian Experience” and “Social and vocational reintegration of the people threatened by social exclusion based on the experience of Italian social cooperatives”, foreseen exchange of experience and knowledge about Sicilian Social Cooperatives and about Communities which offered different services and new job vacancies, meeting social needs.
Participants met different local realities in Palermo City and Province, becoming aware about the work carried on by Sicilian communities and municipalities. Moreover, they had the opportunity to visit the Employment office of Palermo, discovering the different tasks and services offered.
The 32 delegates expressed their interest towards the visits, affirming to have acquired valuable knowledge to be transferred back home.
