Once again, the project Virtual Stages Against Violence (VSAV) offers the opportunity to explore and discuss the issue of risks and opportunities faced by young people when using the digital media and online communication. On September 9th and 10th 2012 at CESIE’s office in Palermo, a Training Course will be held for educators and teachers coming from the four countries participating in the project (Italy, Romania, Austria and Germany). The Educational Guide “Toolkit – Digital & Media Literacy Education” will be presented. The text, written by Maria Ranieri, focuses on five key themes: Participation, Credibility, Identity, Privacy, Authorship and Creativity. During the Training, educators will learn about and experiment the proposed activities in Toolkit which they will then go and test in the classroom. The results of the project will be presented to the public during the International Meeting that will be held in Palermo on February 2013. The training’s participants will receive a certificate of attendance by the MED (The Italian Association of Media Education), an associated partner of VSAV project.
