the motto with which the project management team welcomed the consortium representatives and guests of the final event.

The wider objective is to promote transformation of higher education management in Armenia and Georgia through introduction of a new Master’s programme/professional development courses in higher education management. The specific objectives evolve around the enhancement of the institutional capacity to implement the new Master’s programme/PDCs (teaching and learning and management of the programme; as well as the promotion of a change dialogue between the education stakeholders thorough establishment of a Professional Association of Educationalists leading to system transformation.

MAHATMA final conference was held on 30th of September 2 016 in the premises of ASPU with the involvement of the project consortium, stakeholders, faculty members and students.

MAHATMA presented the achievements and major outcomes that led to its success. The project progress, academic programme development methodology, student mobility issues, external review processes were discussed and presented to the main stakeholders, including faculty members, administration and students. Case studies from Armenian and Georgian partner institutions, as well as student perspectives and overview of study visits informed the attendees about the project implementation and the main challenges the team faced during the project lifetime. Special focus was addressed to the operationalization of the International Association for Education (InTAE) and the International Journal for Quality in Education (IJQE). The membership benefits and possibilities of publications were also discussed during the event.
