GOVERN: ASIIN Workshop on Self-evaluation and systems reviews for Armenian UniversitiesOn 9th – 12th of November 2015 in Yerevan, Armenia – ASIIN (www.asiin-ev.de) together with GOVERN Coordinator YSAFA has organized a Workshop on Self-evaluation and systems reviews for Armenian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) within the framework of the Tempus “GOVERN” project.

“GOVERN – Fostering Autonomy And Accountability: Development Of State-Of-The-Art He Management System For Efficient Changes In Line With Bologna Principles” is a three-year national project, under the priority of Governance Reform, EACEA N° 35/2012, 6th call and Structural Measures action. The wider objective is to enable application of the state-of-the-art management system at Armenian HEIs for promoting effective and efficient structural changes in line with Bologna agenda thus enhancing HEIs autonomy and accountability.

The Workshop served as start of the activities that will be implemented in 2016 by ASIIN and foresees self-evaluation exercise for University Institutional accreditation systems against ASIIN (www.asiin-ev.de) criteria.

Around 20 representatives from 11 HEIs participated in the workshop, hosted by Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences during which ASIIN experts have provided to the participants the information and criteria for institutional accreditation of HEIs. This exercise has a goal to determine how many changes have been done at the level of the Armenian Universities management.

The European partners, including CESIE will have a role as peer reviewers and will provide recommendations and report on state of art after the revision of self-evaluation documents and site visits to Armenian HEIs in 2016.

SCIREARLY Toolkit: successful practices for reducing school dropout and underachievement

The SCIREARLY project has identified effective practices to combat school dropout and improve inclusive learning, based on studies in 9 European countries. The developed Toolkit offers strategies on teaching methods, school-family-community collaboration, and student well-being, promoting fair and participatory learning environments. The adoption of these strategies has shown concrete benefits, including improved academic performance and greater engagement of students and families.
