Cooperation in the field of higher education, CESIE
CESIE is opening to new ways of cooperation under the European Union’s TEMPUS programme, which supports the modernisation of higher education in the EU’s surrounding area. Tempus promotes institutional cooperation that involves the European Union and Partner Countries and focuses on the reform and modernisation of higher education systems in the Partner Countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean region.
It also aims to promote voluntary convergence of the higher education systems in the Partner Countries with EU developments in the field of higher education. With regards to the Western Balkans, Tempus contributes to preparing the candidate and potential candidate countries for a participation in the integrated EU Life Long Learning Programme.
Armenian Coordination Agency ‘UNIVERSITY – EMPLOYER’
The kick-off meeting was held in Yerevan, Armenia the 13th and 14th December.
The wider objective of the project is to ameliorate the relevance of higher education to ever-changing labor market needs through establishment and operationalization of universities-employers cooperation nexus in Armenia. The specific objectives target the building on capacity of universities to effectively manage the units promoting university-market cooperation and facilitating an active dialogue between universities and labour market around qualifications offered through establishment of a database and relevant tools.
CESIE will host in Palermo, in April 2013, a training course on capacity building for the academic and administrative staff that will establish and manage the Armenian UMCU (University-market cooperation Units).
