Career Circles™ are an innovative methodology to foster the labour market inclusion of disoccupied people. The partnership of the INCLUSIVE+ project met online on 28th April 2020 for the 4th Transnational Partner Meeting. The meeting, which was originally foreseen to take place in Sheffield, UK, but was held online due to the Covid-19 situation, mainly focused on the training of partners in the methodology of Career Circles, created by the UK project partner Inova.
This innovative methodology is based on action learning, coaching, mentoring, career development and self-reflection. Developed from the Mentoring Circles™ methodology, Career Circles™ have been created responding to the specific needs of those looking for employment and wanting to develop skills for employment or career development in general. Preliminary research and data collection by each of the partner organisations, has allowed for the methodology to be adapted to the local contexts and beneficiaries’ needs within the frame of the INCLUSIVE+ project.
A part from the training and due to the situation caused by Covid-19, partners furthermore discussed how to implement the next part of the project, using innovative digital tools and engaging with the project’s beneficiaries online. In a further step, the partnership will create interactive online tutorials for career guidance professionals and adults based on the Career Circles methodology, in order to provide them with new insights on reflection techniques, brainstorming as well as productive questioning. These will enable them to find creative solutions regarding labour market inclusion, aiming to enrich both, their private life and professional practice. The tutorials will be available in English, Spanish, Italian, Romanian and Slovak. During the next months, CESIE will be sending the tutorials across its network of local organisations providing adult learning opportunities particularly aiming at educators and adult learners within migrant support services
