On the 11th and 12th of September the BODY project came to an end with the closing BODY IN CULTURE – CULTURE IN BODY International Conference on culture, body, gender, health, sexuality in adult trainings hold in Bruges, Belgium hosted by the project partner KVG. The conference was filled with interesting and clarifying speeches by Margalit Cohen Emerique who inspired the project’s work since the planning phase, and the opening speech of Jozef De Witte, director of the Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism (CEOOR) (Belgian government agency under the responsibility of the Prime Minister of Belgium), but also with practical experience and appliance in the many workshops. The Conference included plenary and parallel sessions, open space for discussions and exhibition, Best Practices Bazaar and several Interactive workshop sessions.
As it turned out, the conference formed an ideal opportunity for participants and the partners of the BODY-project, to share their knowledge and experience.
The BODY Consortium would like to thank all speakers and participants who came to the conference from Sweden, Germany, Denmark, France, Belgium, Palestine, Hungary and Italy.
