How to contrast the use of prohibited substances in sports and in fitness centre?
JUST SPORT aims at creating an awareness campaign against the use of doping and prohibited substances used to enhance performance in fitness centres. In each country partner of the project – Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Sweden, Portugal and Italy -, workshops will be organized in order to bring attention among fitness centre owners and trainers.
The second meeting of the project has been held in Portugal, in the municipality of Mirandela, the 6th and the 7th of September 2017. The staff of the partners of the JUST SPORT project were present.
During the meeting, the results of the questionnaires administrated to the fitness centres trainers were analysed in order to understand if the issue of the doping it’s perceived also by the one who belong to the universe of fitness and wellbeing. The questionnaire were also useful to realize if initiatives such as JUST SPORT could be important.
An important aspect treated during the two days of meeting, was the one related to the content and to the logistical organization of the workshops. In fact, it was agreed by the partnership to include in the future activities experts offering to the participants knowledge and foster a clean way to practice sport and improve personal performances without damage health.
In the next months, fitness centres and gyms will be contacted at local level for each country and they will be involved in the future activities of the project. At the end of the workshops each structure will receive a certificate of clean club in order to show not only competences regarding doping and prohibited substances but also to promote their cleanness!
