The best 5 Italian science based Business Ideas have just been selected and will be competing at European level at the SCIENT EU Business Idea Competition (Cyprus, September 2017), together with the other 30  top ideas  developed and selected among the other PhD SCIENT project participants from Portugal, Lithuania, Spain, United Kingdom and Cyprus.

The SCIENT educational pre-accelerator programme in Italy has been provided by CESIE, in cooperation with Consorzio ARCA (consortium for the application of research and the creation of innovative enterprises), offering different type of activities:

40 hours in-class teaching: 6 Module for 12 Learning Units:

  • Innovation, research, technology transfer and entrepreneurship
  • Get out of the building and test your customers
  • Lean business Plan
  • Protect your business idea
  • How to pitch in front of investors

Study Visits to local enterprises and science research centres around the City of Palermo:

International Internship abroad in an European research related company  (40 hours/1 week) –  exchanging entrepreneurial experiences, getting known the company and processes, participation in projects, research and other areas.
