Are you interested in issues regarding gender equality? Would you like to acquire new skills on multimedia? Would you like to do a mobility experience abroad and transfer the knowledge acquired at local level? Then this is the opportunity for you!
CESIE is looking for participants for “The International Gender Equality and Multimedia training”; it is aimed to raise the skills of 36 youngsters in the field of multimedia, ICT and responsible journalism (writing, photo, film, audio) and to improve the quality of non-formal learning. The training course is part of the international project “Equality for Change” (EFC), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action 2 – Capacity Building in the field of youth); the project aims at exchanging good practices in the field of young women empowerment and non-formal education and promoting gender equality by acquiring competences and by using multimedia.
This training course is one of the international activities foreseen by the project, with the participation of 36 youngsters from the 6 partner countries (Italy, Slovenia, Holland, Cameroon, Kenya and Tanzania).
Where?
The training course will be held in Koper (Slovenia), organized and hosted by KID PiNA, the coordinating organization of the project.
When?
From the 15th to the 25th of June, 2015
Who can attend?
6 Italian youngsters (from 23 and 35 years old) living in Palermo, willing to be active in the field of gender equality and youth work and to raise skills on multimedia, ICT and responsible journalism.
Tasks of participants
The participants will be involved both during and after the training course. During the training, they will take part in different sessions on: gender equality and intercultural dialogue workshops; four modules of youth leaders training (responsible journalism; concept creation, visual presentation and web design; camera and multimedia; project management in youth work); local event in intercultural differences; presentation of the international training outcomes.
After returning home, they will plan and organize three workshops to implement newly gained knowledge and skills. Moreover, they will become member of local working group of the EFC project, by contributing to the implementation of the local activities in the next months (6 local workshops, 1 conference on gender equality and women empowerment, 1 campaign on gender equality and women empowerment, 1 national seminar on women and multimedia/ICT, 1 local forum on gender equality). Moreover, during the project they will have the opportunity to do an European Voluntary Service in Kenya for 2 months (February – March 2016).
Costs covered by the project for the training course
Accommodation and meals will be entirely covered by the project; travel costs up to €275,00.
