SENSE - Social Entrepreneurship & Social media for youth employability in PalermoTC “SENSE Social Entrepreneurship & Social media for youth employability” is an 8 days training course which will take place in Baida, in the neighborhood of Palermo, from the 6th to the 14th June 2015.

SENSE aims to give inspiration, tools and new methodologies to youth workers by providing ideas on how to create a social business and bring a positive impact on society, ensuring social inclusion and economic development through social entrepreneurship, as well as exploiting and exploring the opportunities offered by social media in promotion of their own social enterprise, as well as give knowledge on the use of social media in getting employed.

The TC financed by Erasmus+ Program, Key Action 1, Mobility of Youth Workers – will gather 31 youth workers from 21 countries (Italy, Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germania, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Romania).

The main objectives of the training course are:

  • To promote and encourage social entrepreneurship as a response to youth unemployment;
  • To provide youth workers with new tools and innovative methodologies which will be transferred to youth in their local communities; exchanging best practices in the field of social entrepreneurship and use of social media in EuroMed countries;
  • To foster the intercultural, intergenerational dialogue, economic development and social inclusion of youth;
  • To promote deeper knowledge about European programmes and funding opportunities for youth and social entrepreneurs and finally, facilitating the establishment of new networks at EuroMed level.

Through the exchange of good practices and case studies among participants from EU and South Mediterranean countries, they will seize the opportunity to establish networks for further joint collaboration.

During the training, an innovative methodology will be used, combining non-formal activities and practical training through virtual tools in order to foster participants’ involvement through creative thinking methods, communication-based methods and peer-learning activities.

Moreover, SENSE team and participants are even pleased to invite you to participate in the Intercultural evenings on June 7h and 9th. Those events will take place at Convento di Baida, in Via al Convento di Baida,43. You will have the opportunity to discover traditions and customs of variety of the participating countries, learn about their music and dances, taste traditional dishes and beverages, as well as establish personal and professional contacts with SENSE’s participants.
