“Crossing the Line”is a project that is transforming in a documentary about the lives of young people from different European cities. It takes its name because it was originally filmed in Liverpool, a city where there is a imaginary border between north and south. But even in Palermo are many lines of young people’s lives. Young people from Palermo, who participated in the project, have entered themselves in the role of the journalist, interviewing other young people that they met around the city. With the aim of dealing with the problems of the city, young reporters visited various districts (Ballarò, La Noce, Ciaculli, etc) and have reflected on how the features of Palermo affect them every day, discovering different places and the reality of the city, yet unknown for them.
“Crossing the Line”is a project which makes part of the Leonardo action “Transfer of Innovation” included in “Lifelong Learning Programme” of the European Commission.
The objective of the project is to create a series of products (including manuals and DVDs) that highlight the problems facing young people in different European countries participating in the project, providing a broader perspective. Organisations from England, Holland, Romania and Bulgaria – CESIE partners, have developed the same kind of documentary together in their cities, along with manuals, provide training tools for innovative techniques of trainers and, in general, for those who work with youngsters .
During the night there is also the artistic performances and we are pleased to offer you a drink for thanksgiving.
