How to value cultures and promote active citizenship among the youngsters?
Following the success of the first cycle, I Giovani Parlano con l’Europa is,launching the second round of intercultural meetings in March 2018, aiming at enhancing the opportunities offered to young people by the European Commission.
As organizing institution of the workshop, we are arranging this second cycle with 4 meetings addressed to 20 Italian and foreigner men and women over 18 living in Palermo.
Young people will have the chance to share their experiences with the group and to face different topics, together with experts and a cultural mediator who will help with English or French when needed.
The founding principle of these meetings is that knowing each other, exchanging skills and competences in an heterogeneous group of people can lead to a deeper self-awareness as active citizens in the place they live in and accordingly to a deeper knowledge of their own rights and duties.
Among the topics of the meetings:
- Geography & European culture
- Soft & hard skills requested by the labour market
- Job orientation
- Active citizenship
At the end of the meetings the participants will receive a certificate of participation.
The meetings will take place in CESIE office, in Via Roma 94 in Palermo, from 10.00 to 13.00, with the following schedule:
- First Meeting: Friday 02 March 2018
- Second Meeting: Friday 09 March 2018
- Third meeting: Friday 16 March 2018
- Fourth meeting: Friday 23 March 2018

I Giovani Parlano con l’Europa aims at enhancing active citizenship and intercultural dialogue among young people, promoting the opportunities offered by the European Commission.
The project is funded by “Giovani per il Sociale” and promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department of Youth and National Civil Service.
