Do you want to learn techniques and methods to help your child learn a second language?
CESIE invites you to enrol in the free online course for parents on how to encourage bilingualism in the family context!
An online course that guides parents on how to teach their children a second language has been created by the Polyglot- Multilingual education in preschool age project. The course provides a set of tools that are easy to use and are easily accessible from a smartphone or tablet.
Getting into the course is easy, just follow these steps:
- Go to the project website Polyglot (http://polyglot.expert/) and click on the E-COURSE link
- Once you have clicked on E-COURSE, a new window will open: simply click on the Login button in the top right.
- Once you have clicked on the Login button, you need to create an account. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the access link!
The online course is made up of 5 sessions, which include interactive activities and a description of some useful apps and resources that can be used to assist language learning:
- Section 1: How to promote bilingualism at home
- Section 2: How to understand your child’s needs and review the obtained knowledge
- Section 3: How to identify the Open Educational Resources and assess their suitability to support bilingualism at an early age
- Section 4: How to make your children use the selected resources
- Section 5: How to guarantee your child’s safety and avoid inappropriate content
POLYGLOT is a 3-year project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships in the field of school education, aiming to foster language learning from an early age by exploring the potential of Open Educational Resources and the new opportunities offered by media and by the use of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
