After two intense years of needs’ research, planning, designing, implementation and development, the Tour2Include project is coming to an end.

As a last step, an e-learning platform for migrants and other users who want to enhance their skills related to the tourism sector, has been published. The training content is free and can be used by professionals and trainers, NGOs and other formal and non-formal training providers who wish to enrich their educational offers with a new and innovative curriculum developed based on tourism employers’ and migrants’ training needs. The platform can further be accessed by the users themselves, who can work on the training in a self-paced manner.

The platform contents include theoretical material, videos and interactive material as well as self-reflection exercises. At the end of each module, users can take a quiz, which, when completed successfully, allows for the obtaining of a certificate.

The training material focuses on the following:

  • Module 1 – General soft skills
  • Module 2 – Intercultural skills
  • Module 3 – Communication skills
  • Module 4 – Tourism-related professional skills
  • Module 5 – Digital skills

Additionally, the platform offers comprehensive information on the cultural context of Greece, Italy and Germany, collected in the three Country Profiles. It further provides a glossary, helping users to familiarise with the most important key words used in the different modules.

You can access the platform and start your learning journey here:

From Dreams to Discoveries: How STEAM Tales inspire the next generation of girls in STEM

Rita Levi-Montalcini, a brilliant scientist and Nobel laureate, overcame the difficulties of her time to revolutionize neurobiology and pave the way for new discoveries in treating diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s. STEAM Tales is inspired by her story to motivate girls to explore STEM by offering female and diverse role models and breaking down gender stereotypes. The project also includes hands-on experiments to engage young people interactively and stimulate their interest in science.
