In the two years of “Europe 50 plus” project, (December 2014 – November 2016) the 4 partners Wisamar (Germany), ZDZ Katowice (Poland), Alvit (Chech Republic) and CESIE (Italy) will work in synergy to find innovative methods that foster the learning of ICT and foreign languages in adult aged 50 +.

The main objective is to foster the activation and the reintegration in the working system of people aged 50 +, as the poor computer literacy and the lack of knowledge of foreign languages put this group at risk of social and working exclusion. This target mostly faces difficulties in learning ICT and foreign languages, because reluctant or discouraged in starting this learning process, and thus it does not take full advantage of its learning potentiality.

Therefore, from each partner institution 4 experts in ICT, foreign language, coach/tutoring and project management, will collaborate together to gather and elaborate innovative strategies that encourage the adult over 50 to learn ICT and foreign languages.

These 16 experts will actively participate in the six transnational meetings and in two international trainings of “Europe 50 plus” project, in order to ensure a variety of perspectives and a fruitful experience exchange as well as a comprehensive view and approach to the development of the project results. The first step consists in working on a survey that permits to measure targets’ needs, barriers and expectations. Afterwards, experts will gather and develop learning and teaching strategies that will be tested in each partner country during the project pilot phase.

The Kick off meeting took place the 10th and 11th December 2014 in Katowice (Poland). The second international meeting is going to take place the next 9th and 10th of March in Ostrava (Czech Republic).

Europe 50 + project is co funded by the Erasmus + Programme – KA2 Strategic partnership for adult education
