Sicily proves to be the most European region in Italy relating to Education, training and youth initiatives – with its citizens looking up to the EU since many years by implementing projects and attract funds to provide opportunities and support progress on concrete ideas for social development on the island.
Sicily is, as stated by the National Agency, the Italian region with the highest number of approved project proposals under the last Erasmus Plus KA1 call, programme financed by the European Commission.
Among the Sicilian provinces, Palermo stands out with 30 approved project proposals which will benefit of more than seven hundred thousand euro. In 36 cases out of 47 it is the third sector to give life to these initiatives, mostly youth exchanges based on non-formal education.
Among all stands out the work of CESIE, in the province of Palermo in Sicily, that will host dozens of youth from all over Europe.
