Within MiCREATE project, we had a role to conduct series of workshops for policy makers and seminars for teachers in Italy, Germany and Lithuania, to inform them about MiCREATE policy recommendations and increase teachers’ capacities in inclusive education.
In early June we participated in the International scientific conference “CHILD MIGRATION AND INTEGRATION: TRENDS AND CHALLENGES” in Ljubljana, Slovenia to present the paper “Child agency and integration of unaccompanied minors in Sicily”, drafted by the members of Higher Education and Research Unit of CESIE.
MiCREATE developed recommendations for policy-makers for promoting child-centred integration of migrant children in schools.
CESIE, partner of the MiCreate Project, joined the Conference Migrant children’s integration and education in Europe: Approaches, methodologies and policies (Barcelona, October 2019).
The second General Assembly & Executive Board Meeting was held at the University of Barcelona. Partners were reporting on the work done so far, discussing MiCreate digital storytelling application, participant observations in classrooms and art-based approach asa tool to stimulate the discussion with migrant children.
