Why is sport still an unequal space, and what can we do to change that? Gender stereotypes, norms, and discriminatory practices continue to limit truly inclusive participation. If you are part of the world of sport, this free training is for you.

The SISTERS project offers a practical and interactive training programme, combining theoretical content with group discussions, activities, and real-life examples. The objective is to develop concrete tools to recognise and tackle discrimination and promote fairer, more inclusive sporting environments.

The programme consists of 2 in-person sessions of approximately 2.5 hours each:

  • Saturday 13 June, 10:30–13:00: Understanding and deconstructing. DiAria – Via Gagini 31/59, Palermo

  • Friday 19 June, 14:30–17:00: Recognising and acting. DiAria – Via Venezia 61, Palermo

Who is it for? The training course is aimed at sports managers, coaches, support staff, and young athletes who want to foster fairer and more inclusive environments within their organisations and teams.

Participation is free, upon registration.

About the project

SISTERS is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), under the Erasmus Sport programme, a project aiming to promote women’s and the LGBTQIA+ community’s full inclusion in sports by advancing equity through an intersectional approach.
