1000, precisely 1003, are the households of Cefalù (province of Palermo – Italy) that at the date of 7th March 2016 have adhered to the project STEP BY STEP, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme. A significant result that makes the Norman city closer to reach the goal of having 1750 households registered.
The advantages: adhering to the project means to benefit of a personalised service to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact through a regular accompaniment for a period of 2 years.
The phone calls: “Good morning, I’m calling you for the project STEP BY STEP promoted by the Municipality of Cefalù…”. This is the welcome sentence used by our phone advisor who monthly contacts the registered households, monitoring the achieved results, proposing new actions and/or adapting the already suggested to the features of the user.
The emails: these are periodically sent to support the user to carry out new actions. At the same time, the email leads the household to keep on the actions already undertaken.
The results to date in Cefalù:
- the 96% of the users who answered to the questionnaire, administered via door-to-door interviews, has accepted to continue with the accompaniment phase;
- the 68% of the registered households has undertaken with success one the suggested actions;
- the action in which the majority of registered households has decided to act is “to buy hygienical products paraben-free”, followed by “to reduce the use of lightening at home”.
In the coming weeks, a full and detailed report about the results achieved in all partners’ city will be available. The report is develop by CESIE, project’s partner together with the Municipality of Cefalù.
