The kick off meeting for “Face to Success” – Learning Partnership (Grundtvig) – took place in Cawsand, Cornwall, from the 26th to the 30th of November 2012. In this project, there are six different European partners: Diagonál Magyarország Ifjúságsegítők Országos Szervezete (Hungary, Coordinator), CESIE (Italy), Grenville Battery Trust (UK), NC Future Now (Bulgaria), IKA Asociatia Tinere (Romania) and Naturfreunde Thüringen e.V. (Germany).
The target of this partnership – which will end in 2014 – is adult migrants, especially Roma people. The main objectives are to use voluntary work as a tool to access to the labour market and, at the same time, to find new ways to save their own culture during the social integration process. Migrants will be involved both during local activities and in the international ones: there will be several mobilities in which all the learners (including staff and unemployed adult migrants) will exchange experiences and will get in touch with different contexts. The objectives of this learning partnership are:
- personal development of migrants and of their competences in order to help them to enter into the labour market and foster social inclusion;
- exchange of experiences and good practices among the staff of the organizations, with benefits for local communities and institutions as well;
- creation of an effective adult education network of partners and a support for the recognition of volunteers’ skills and competences among employers.
The next meeting will take place in Palermo, in March 2013, always in the name of lifelong learning and social inclusion.
