CESIE held it’s Info – day on the mobility programs on 14th November at CESIE office. During the meeting, two mobility projects, very important for the acquisition of skills within the work context, were presented: the “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs” and the new project Leonardo Mobility “Learning by Doing”. Since May 2012, CESIE is the local contact point for the program “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs” – promoted by European Commission – allowing entrepreneurs interested in participating, and promoting the spirit of youth entrepreneurship and the international mobility.
During the meeting was explained to the participants not only the program, but also how they could participate and the recruitment criteria. The idea of working side by side with an expert entrepreneur in another country of the European Union and strengthening skills to develop an own company has been very successful among the participants, generating interest and potential applications.
“Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs”, can be an important added value to own business because it allows to:
- Develop international contacts,
- Discover how the market of another European country works,
- Undertake potential cooperation opportunities,
- Strengthen own skills meeting the successful entrepreneurs.

Not less interesting was the widening for the Leonardo Mobility “Learning by Doing” project:
the project is aimed to 54 young people, aged between 18 and 35 years old, living in Sicily region, available on the labor market (unoccupied, unemployed, school leavers or graduates). The selected candidates will have the opportunity of living a period abroad (in England, Greece, Portugal, Romania or France), of the duration of 13 weeks, engaging in a vocational training in one of the following areas:
- Nursery and Gardening
- Food processing
- Processing of metals in the art of goldsmith
- Handcraft in wood industry
- Manufacturing of textiles
The high number of the participants has confirmed their interest in the European mobility, which allow to develop abilities often decisive for the future European labor market.
