CESIE is looking for 1 volunteer for an EVS project addressed to Italian youth aged from 18 to 30 years.
How long?
From Jenuary to December 2016.
Where?
The EVS will take place in Zamosc (Poland), where in 1990 was established the Step by step’ Association for Help of Disabled Children. This is a non-governmental organization which takes care of disabled children and adults. It is a unique reality in the the region of south-eastern Poland and leads professional activities in the field of integrated rehabilitation, education and social support of children, adolescents and disabled adults with early brain damage. It includes comprehensive rehabilitation, education and care of about 2000 people. The Centre leads also pre-school education, primary and secondary school and high school and classes which prepare youth for work.
Which activities?
The Italian volunteer (together with others volunteers from Germany, Spain, Slovakia and Hungary) will help plan activities and prepare resources required to conduct courses, that will gradually introduce them to disabled subjects related to disability. At the same time volunteers will be able to participate in nursing tasks such as helping with dressing up, eating etc.
Additionally, during summer holidays the association organizes summer camps in Bondyrz (30 km from Zamosc): volunteers will participate in these camps where they will help with organizing English lessons. Sometimes, volunteers will be asked to organize shows, lectures or workshop to make other people aware about their own cultures and countries. Each good and new idea shall be accepted. Volunteers could also be involved in different types of activities concerning administration work.
Costs?
The costs of food, accommodation and local transport will be fully covered by the host organization. Furthermore the volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money for personal extra-expenses. Travel costs (go and back) are covered up to 275 Euros. Finally, the project provides a medical insurance.
