Geographic mobility is becoming an increasing tendency is this globalized world and it is really hard to find a town where don’t live people from different country. Unfortunately cultural (religious) differences sometime give space for misunderstanding, prejudices and stereotypes between people with different backgrounds because they see “strange” to the “others culture”. EVS within EuroMed region is a great opportunity for personal learning and development process. Understanding different cultures, habits and values broaden awareness and tolerance on young people who are the future of the society.
From November 7th to 15th 2014 will take place a Training Course in Tukums, which is situated in the surroundings of Riga (Latvia). “Euro(EVS)Med learning” is a great opportunity for youth workers interested in EVS projects to develop their skills, knowledge and attitudes in order to implement EVS projects in accordance with EVS philosophy and quality standards.
The aim of the “Euro(EVS)Med learning” course is to raise awareness of youth workers about learning process in EVS projects as important factor in young people development. To enable youth workers to develop their competences in setting up quality EVS projects within EuroMed framework.
TC will involve participants from the following countries: Italy, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Hungary, France, Croatia, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia and Latvia.
CESIE, representing Italy, is looking for 2 participants. Participants must:
- Have experience in working with local or international volunteers.
- Able to speak, express feelings and understand English
- Be committed to attend the full duration of the course
Costs:
- Food and accommodation are covered 100%
- Travel costs are reimbursable up to a maximum of 360 euros
- €60 participation fee
