CESIE is looking for 1 volunteer for Culturopolis, an EVS project addressed to Italian youth aged from 18 to 30 years.

When?

12 months, from November 2015 to October 2016.

Where and which activities?

The hosting organization is Les petits débrouillards from Marseille, France. Les petits débrouillards is a network of several organizations implanted in 21 countries which aims to promote scientific culture for youngsters.

They organize scientific and technical activities for youngsters and bring their expertise and experience for public debates on education and culture. Their goal is to form active citizens, able to take active participation in building our future world. Their actions towards youth is guided by values and principles such as popular education, free access to culture and knowledge, and aim to:

  • Introduce youngster to science through recreational activities;
  • Stimulate their desire for comprehension;
  • Introduce them to scientific method, truth-seeking process, curiosity and initiative;
  • Developing their sense of solidarity, respect and sharing.

Costs?

The costs of food, accommodation and local transport will be fully covered by the host organization. Furthermore, the volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money for personal extra expenses. Travel costs (go and back) are covered up to 275 Euros. Finally, the project provides a medical insurance.
