The history of the decorative handcrafts known in Europe widely is thought to date back as far as the Phrygians of Anatolia. Some sources indicate that needlework’s and necklaces spread from Anatolia to Greece and from there via Italy to Europe.
This is a special workshop about representing Turkish handcrafts,carpets making and Ebru with its culture. During the workshop , the participants will be able to learn to make traditional Turkish handcrafts.
The participants will discover Beypazarı city through handcrafts discovering the Ottoman Mansions, shops and merchants traditional.
The workshop will be held in Polatlı which is seventy-five km. far away from Capital, Ankara between the dates on 01-08 September 2011.
The expected number of participants are fifteen from EU countries and five from Turkey.
Travel, board (food), accommodation and insurance costs are covered by the organizer . The Workshop is free of charge for you!
The minimum requirement for the applicants is the age of 18 and the can not be professional.
The deadline for sending the application forms is 15 July 2011; only the forms received up to this date will be considered.
