Doing the EVS in the little Portuguese village Portela Vale de Espinho, where the host organization Vertigem is set, can be the experience that you are looking for!
Portela Vale de Espino is a lovely countryside village in the center of Portugal between Lisbon and Coimbra, in the region of Leira. The Evs lasts ten months starting from November.
Volunteers will be involved in monitoring wild birds, manteining the agricultural fields, prevention of fire in forests and reforestation, feeding animals, environmental education.
The volunteer must be enthusiastic, in love with mother nature, flexible and strongly motivated. A basic Portuguese would be appreciated.
