Would you like to dedicate your time to children and young people with life stories different? Are you looking for a project that allows you to develop a strong team spirit with other young people like you?
CESIE is looking for a volunteer to be involved in the project of the Austrian organization Jugendinfo NÖ, funded by the European Voluntary Service, for a period of nine months, from September 2, 2013.
The organization in which the activities take place and where you work is the youth center BAGGER, a non-profit organization funded by local government, which is located in the town of Waidhofen/Ybbs, Austria, from which you can reach easily and quickly the capital, Vienna.
The main objectives that the organization aims to achieve through the project are:
- Develop a common sense among different countries and culture;
- Isolate and prevent the spread of racist ideologies;
- Make young people understand that are the active part of the European Union;
- disseminate news and information about the European projects, in particular those aimed at young people.
The tasks of the volunteers will be:
- Assist the organization in daily work;
- Give advices to young people;
- Organize various activities, such as football matches for small, sporting events, workshops on various topics, etc.
- Come into contact with children and build a confidential relationship with them;
- Be always available to kids, helping and standing near them;
- Organize events in an intercultural dimension;
- Participate in a training course Austrian National Agency.
Volunteer profile:
- Be able to work and talk to young people aged between 13 and 19 years;
- Be open-minded;
- Be able to socialize easily;
- Be able to work in a team;
- Recognize and comply with orders and hierarchies.
