From the 1st to 8th of September 2013 will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, the Training Course “Access-Inclusion-Growth”.

Youngsters from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Armenia ,Georgia and Ukraine will work together on the problems of the young women with disabilities, and to seek for opportunities to address this issue through youth work, in the most sustainable way.

The problems of the marginalization of the young women with disabilities (YWD) in Europe are rarely discussed with their access to education, employment and autonomy. Youth work needs to look for a sustainable multidimensional approach to address the problems of multiple discrimination against YWD in Europe.

Objectives:

  • discuss the status of the YWD and their social and economic rights, as well as opportunities for inclusive growth
  • study the causes the marginalization and lack of access to social life, education and employment
  • mainstream and advocate for relevant initiative and networking addressing the issue
  • promote youth work practices ensuring that all YWD get access to the YiA program, and encourage youth-led projects on the topic

Using the methods of human rights education and intercultural dialogue, the TC will contribute to the personal development of participants, improve their social skills, intercultural communication and project writing, and deepen their knowledge on the opportunities offered by the “Youth in Action” program.

CESIE is looking for: 2 participants (no age limit) operating in the field and with experience.

Costs:

  • 70% of the flight ticket will be refunded
  • 100% accommodation and food covered by the project
  • 60 euro fee.
