Despite some positive experiences or successful activities in the field of inclusive education, the Italian educational community has several gaps in this matter.
This is witnessed by the school dispersion or high dropout rates and consequently the difficult inclusion pathways of students with a foreign background. The main causes can be found in assessment practices that struggle to compete with personalized learning plans. Also, difficulty in ascertaining progress and talents independently from language skills hinders the successful inclusion.
The event, held on 29 July from 17:00 to 19:00, aimed at educators, trainers and school staff, will be an opportunity to test an assessment tool developed within the HOPEFUL project to evaluate the foreign students’ skills and gaps in mathematics, computer science and literacy.
Based on the Austrian model of Basic Education adapted within the 3Steps project for Italy, we will explain you how to improve reading, writing, calculation and digital skills of immigrants and asylum seekers.
Finally, you will also be invited to a dynamic moment with interactive exercises for mathematics and methodology promoted by the ULM project!
During the event you will be able to taste refreshing Al Fresco ice cream!
See you on 29 July Al Fresco!
Registration is not required to attend the event.
