CESIE starts the recruitment of 1 volunteer for an EVS project addressed to Italian youth (from 18 to 30 years old).
When?
12 months from September 2016.
Where and which activities?
The hosting organization is The Infinite Opportunities Association based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is an NGO established at the beginning of 2010 that is committed to youth work, active citizenship, promotion of non-formal education and encouraging young people to develop their social and creative potential for a better future for everyone.
The Association has delivered a nation-wide youth training with a focus on similarities and differences of freedom of speech and hate speech, they have held a photo exhibition at Sofia airport and run a website called Tolr@nce Platform with info, articles and links on antidiscrimination, combating hate speech and promotion of diversity (www.ontolerance.eu).
The volunteers will be divided into three main project areas:
- On-line Monitoring and reporting of hate speech messages in social media;
- Production of interactive materials on the topic – lipdub videos, mems, badges, graffiti etc.;
- Training of Bulgarian children and young people on on-line tolerance.
Volunteer is invited to join the other activities the Association is implementing including environmental and sustainable living project; career guidance and support for vulnerable youth; volunteering in Roma and refugee day centers.
Costs?
The costs of food, accommodation and local transport will be fully covered by the host organization. Furthermore the volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money for personal expenses extra. Travel costs (go and back) are covered up to 275 Euros. Finally, the project provides a medical insurance.
