The second international meeting of the project Europe 50 plus was held the 9th and 10th March 2015 in Ostrava (Czech Republic). The meeting was attended by experts in languages, IT and soft skills of the four partner organisations: Wisamar (Germany), ZDZ Katowice (Poland), Alvit (Czech Republic) and CESIE (Italy). The 16 experts, 4 for each organization, will work together to develop new strategies and methodologies to stimulate learning of adults over 50.

The project intends to promote social integration and employment of adults who has a lack of skills in computer science and foreign language compared to the younger generation. This lack of skills can increase their work and social exclusion, as the society is increasingly demanding the use of new technologies and the English as communication and working tools.

Europe 50 plus, thanks to the experience of the partners, aims to involve adults in learning paths and to create new pedagogical approaches, in order to increase basic skills needed to keep track of contemporary society reducing their risk of exclusion.
During the meeting the Czech partners have shared their experience in adult education and showed some practical examples. Moreover all the experts of the partner organizations discussed the work done so far and defined the content and the methods of implementation of the “1st international course”, that will take place from 4th to 8th May 2015 inPalermo.

In particular:

  • Experience of CESIE in the field of adult education;
  • Sharing of experiences;
  • Methodologies, strategies and advices;
  • Expectations and motivations;
  • Evaluation and final reflection.

The course will be also an opportunity to put into practice and review the work done by the partnership, in order to plan the 2nd international training course to be held in Leipzig in July 2015.
