On October 28th, the lead partner and the Sicilian partners of the project TATRAC, gathered at CESIE’s office in Palermo. TATRAC – Tissu Associatif et Transfert de Connaissances, is a project co-funded by the European Union through the ENPI CBC Italy-Tunisia programme 2007-2013.
Representatives from ANPR, SOGEVI, University of Catania and CESIE attended the meeting, which was an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues, including the calendar and contents of the training seminars which will involve some Tunisian associations, as well as of the study visits that will take place in Sicily.
Based on the timing of the activities agreed during the meeting, from 15th to 17th of December 2014 an event will take place, which will open the implementation of the training in the framework of the project: the TATRAC – PASRI seminar will offer Sicilian partners a chance to learn something on the PASRI project and its link to TATRAC, but more importantly, to establish a first contact with the associations selected for the training.
The following step will be the training in Tunisia, which will be held between March and April 2015. Then, between May and June 2014, some representatives of the associations selected will be able to take part in some study visits in Sicily, covering the following fields: farming, education, health, environment and culture. The visits will allow the associations to better understand how to put their technical knowledge into practice so as to meet the scientific needs arising in their society.
The last part of the meeting was dedicated to a description and demonstration of the structure of the TATRAC website www.tatrac.tn , that will be online soon. All partners will be able to contribute to the site development with contents, such as translations, documents and media resources.
