CESIE is looking for 3 volunteers from France, 2 volunteers from Spain, 2 volunteers from Austria and a volunteer from Hungary to take part at European Voluntary Service project in Palermo, called ABLE LIKE YOU II, from 7th May 2014 till 6thFebruary 2015 (9 months).
The project foresees the involvement of the volunteers in social inclusion and animation activities with youngsters and adults suffering of mental and physical disabilities, who attend family houses and day-care centres in the territory of Palermo. The volunteers will support the local staff in the daily activities and in the preparation & implementation of creative and entertainment workshops. There will be trips and visits in Palermo or in Sicily with the aim of stimulate a building path of knowledge and interaction with the Sicilian reality.
The volunteers’ profile requested is:
- Age from18 till 30 years old
- Motivation to live a learning experience abroad for 9 months
- Previous voluntary experiences with disabled people or educational path in the field of disability
- Willing to develop competences in educational and animation field in the area of disabilities
