CESIE is looking for participants who are professionals/interested in the field of social documentary photography for the seminar “Social Focus on Intercultural Europe”, which will take place in April/May at Riga, in Latvia. The seminar is focused on the photography as a tool to reflect different sides of the social and cultural context and of the life of different social groups as well.
The power of the images as a way to promote the social and political change will be the main topic of the seminar. The aim is to teach participants how to use their art to convey the vision of the reality and the social situation all around. Moreover, stimulating social inclusion through use of the images expressing the feeling of belonging to Europe is one of the expected goals of the seminar.
All the participants will have the chance to exchange opinions and advices on new methodologies and aims of the social documentary photography. Moreover, there will be a final exhibition from a photo shooting made by all the participants. An opportunity for the ones who love photography and try to find a new and stimulating way to exchange ideas and grow, both artistically and personally.
