The CESIE is happy to inform you that it is looking for 5 participants for a youth exchange that will happen in Targu Jiu in Romania, from the 2nd to the 10th of August of 2012. 15 young people aged 18-25 inclusive, who come from 3 European countries, will take part in the project.

One of the principal aim of the exchange is to get closer to the cultural community of the Rom, through non-formal educative methods. The young people who partecipate will be involved in a trip through the Rom culture: from history, music, traditional values, handicraft to today’s perception and the issue of discrimination. The young people will participate to workshops, debates, open forums, play roles, and a meeting with the reppresentatives of a Rom organization, to help a better understanding of this community.

Important: the participants must know English.

Priority to desadvantaged young people.

Costs:

  • Board and lodging is 100% covered
  • 70% of the trip expenses will be refunded

We are looking for a group leader. The panoramic visit will be at the end of May 2012, and the trip expenses will be 100% refunded + board and lodging 100% covered.
