giovani in europaAljaraque Municipality is looking for a EVS candidates for the project 2011-ES-28, “Youth and dynamization”. The length of the project 10 Months starting in January 2012.

The project is set in Aljaraque (Huelva), in the southest region of Spain, in ameeting point between Portugal and Spain, faced on the Cadiz gulf.

The volunteer will be working in the support activities in local youth centers, in which he will have experience in youth information, participation and mobility.

The centres in which the volunteer will be working are Youth information Centre of Aljaraque and the Consultancy Office for the promotion of youth programs and volunteering. Here there will be the dissemination of chances for youngsters, fostering information materials, and supporting the host organization.

Furthermore the volunteer can be included in the activities of other centers: Municipal Toy Library of Aljaraque in cooperation with the local staff helping in the management of the common spaces and the creative activities for young people ( photography, music, painting).

The volunteer along side his mentor and the H.O. will choose in which centre to be host; also according to his/her personal learning objectives.

The volunteer will live in a single flat. He/she will receive a language course of 3 hours for week for the first month.

A wise volunteer would grab the chance of learning deeply the Andalusia culture (gastronomy, art, language).

At the same time the volunteer is the one who brings a different culture and view to the locals.

The profile requested is more than 18 years old, basic knowledge of Spanish, a previous experience in working with youngsters or in a NGO.
