Nuovo logo CESIEIn occasion of the event “Night of emotions” held in Palermo on December 11th – 12th, CESIE –European Centre of Studies and Initiatives presented to the public and its partners the new logo of the association.

The restyling action led to the creation of a new CESIE design willing to give greater uniformity to the association from an international vision, identifying easily our mission: “CESIE wants to contribute, through the active involvement of people, civil society and institutions to the promotion of growth and development, promoting the value of diversity”.

Through the new graphic design, the Pomegranate, CESIE wants to give an image of synthesis of the association and its work.

Indeed the Pomegranate is a fruit that looks like a unifying set of several and more bodies, so that the grains inside the fruit remind CESIE as organisation that is structured in five departments working in synergy (European cooperation, international cooperation, socio-cultural activities, mobility, vocational training).

The Pomegranate also points out the CESIE Federation that is made up by more than 70 active organisations in more than 50 countries around the world that share the mission of the association. Moreover, the image of the Pomegranate stands for an upside down globe, representing visually a less ethnocentric global vision, that reflects otherness.

The reviewed CESIE logo modifies also the printed character for a more slender shape, a “pleasant-looking” and an easy reading. In addition also the association’s motto “the world is only one creature”.

Through this motto, that is a quotation of the title of one of Danilo Dolci’s works and that outlines the actions and the message of the activist that inspired CESIE, we want to underline the applied holistic approach and the bridge between research and action on which CESIE’s activities are based.

“Close to the end of the year – states CESIE’s president Vito La Fata – that introduces us into the tenth year of CESIE’s foundation represents a moment of structural, strategic and organizational changes characterizing a significant growth of the association itself”. In this framework the graphic restyling is to be considered as an integration of the internal and external communication system supporting CESIE’s action plan.

The operation of restyling includes also the review of all CESIE’s communication materials in order to coordinate these several communication tools and to enhance the CESIE brand identity.
