Is it possible to use storytelling as an educational tool to favor migrants’ integration in local communities?

We are pleased to invite you to the multiplier event of the project on Friday 29th of June 2018 held in Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, Palermo.

During the meeting we will present the project LISTEN, and the storytelling’s methodology.

We will present also those people that participated to the piloting phase implemented with young Italians and migrants. Through non formal activities and stortytelling workshops, all participants have created and told stories. We will present you also the launch of the LISTEN Award and the possibility to participate by sharing your stories!

Later then, some performances conducted by a group of unaccompanied minors that are participating in a multicultural programme.

During the evening, multi-ethnic catering will be offered and there will be a musical performance by the Booku ndal group and some participants themselves.

Supporting unaccompanied foreign minors means standing alongside those who protect them

Supporting unaccompanied foreign minors means standing alongside those who protect them

Guaranteeing rights and protection to refugees means building effective, humane, and fair reception systems every day. However, for unaccompanied minors, the path is still long: they are often victims of trafficking, violence, and exploitation, and face enormous barriers to accessing education, healthcare, and emotional support. As of 31 December 2023, there were over 23,000 in Italy, with more than a quarter in Sicily.
