Two days of exchange, sharing and debate among BASE partners, professionals and cultural advisors with the aim to strength the network and develop strategies to support migrant women victims of GBV.
CESIE participated in the third meeting of the BASE project in January in Koper, Slovenia, and in the two days of training for BASE programme trainers, which includes two different courses, a training for migrant/refugee women on how to become cultural counsellors, and a capacity building for professionals on communication with migrant/refugee girls who are victims of gender-based violence.
First Transnational Cooperation meeting of the BASE project gathered 32 experts working within support services for migrant victims of sexual and gender-based violence from 8 EU countries on the 1st of July in Coimbra, Portugal.
After a recognition of a need to support survivors of gender-based violence and to provide them safe spaces to confront the trauma and move forward, 8 experienced European organisations developed a BASE project.
