The workshop is involving several members of the Eritrean and Ethiopian communities in Palermo within the project REPLACE 2. The pathway is born after the need emerged during the research phase to investigate different aspects of the nature of men and women, their roles in society and in the family and their ways of interacting.
Through six meetings on photography, video and storytelling, participants will understand the possibilities of expression and communication through photography and they will be able to perceive the thousand meanings hidden behind an image. They will also learn how to create a short story using pictures and music. The laboratory includes a walk for the collection of the material to be included in their video presentation, video editing and presentation, and final vision of the work produced, with a conclusive formative session on gender issues.
Come and share the way you see and feel the reality! The workshop is free and is aimed at Eritrean and Ethiopian women and men without age limit. You can still subscribe, so if you’re interested to take part in the meetings or you wish to receive more information about the REPLACE 2 project please contact Angela Martinez: partnership@cesie.org or visit the website: www.replacefgm2.eu.
