Three intense days of dialogue and exchange of ideas, feelings and expectations: CESIE participated in the third meeting of the BASE project in January in Koper, Slovenia, and in the two days of training for BASE programme trainers, which includes two different courses, a training for migrant/refugee women on how to become cultural counsellors, and a capacity building for professionals on communication with migrant/refugee girls who are victims of gender-based violence.

During the training, together with partners from Cyprus, Portugal, Bulgaria, Greece, United Kingdom, Austria and Slovenia, we discussed what are our expectations and possible challenges for this programme: each country has a different migration contextdifferent cultures intertwining and varied but ready to collaborate support services.

These are some of the topics that we will deal with during the trainings in Palermogender-based violence (GBV) in intercultural contexts, judicial proceedings for cases of sexual and GBV, the phenomenon of migration and the vulnerability of children on the movecommunication with migrant women/girls survivors of GBVsupport services for victims of GBV.

We are working with our experts to organize BASE trainings in a unique and effective way; the trainings will take place in March and April; do you want to participate? Do not hesitate to contact justice@cesie.org, to get more information and register now.
