CESIE attended with pleasure the first training seminar for administrative staff, in the frame of the Tempus project “PICASA – Promoting Internationalization of HEIs in Eastern Neighborhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations” – organized by WUS Austria from the 28th to 30th May in Graz.
The aim of this project is to promote the recognition of Eastern Neighboring Area HE systems – namely in Armenian, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine – through fostering the international dimension of the HEIs on the institutional level and within their study programs.
The seminar provided an opportunity for HE institutions from Armenian, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine to present the current state and challenges with regard to internationalization at their institutions. Additionally it provided a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences with the project partners from the EU. Besides the project partners also the University of Graz and the FHJ University of Applied Sciences gave insight into their internationalization strategies and activities. The meeting concluded with a management session in order to plan the next steps and get an update on important project and financial management issues.
