In the highly technology dependent world of today, ICT is more and more a priority at both political and economic level.  This involves new opportunities but also threats that are present in the EU and worldwide.

Cyber criminality costs several billion euros to companies each year. For instance, in Kazakhstan, Moldavia, and Vietnam, more than 90% of the networks are considered as vulnerable.

The LMPI project – Bachelor’s and Professional Master’s Degree for development, administration, management, protection of computer systems and networks in enterprises in Moldova, Kazakhstan, Vietnam -, co-funded by the Erasmus +KA2 Capacity Building in Higher Education Programme totally meets the needs of these new stakes.

The aim of this project is to contribute to the safety of IT systems and networks of companies from Kazakhstan, Moldavia, and Vietnam, by developing professional training (initial or lifelong training, distance education or not) human resources but also skills from citizens.

This project, that has started on October 15th 2016 and will end on the October 14th 2019, gathers 6 partners in Europe:

Besides, universities from 4 countries are also participants:

From March 20th to March 24th 2017, we took part in the kick-off meeting organized by the GIP Fipag in Lyon, France. In the next 2 years and half, LMPI will develop a lifelong training modular system in the same field of education and train 50 professional in Kazakhstan, Moldova and Vietnam, while 270 students per country will study in the newly constituted BA and MA studies in cybersecurity. Moreover, it will create a center of excellence in each of the three countries, a resource center, supporting the new offer (write programs and courses content, including digital resources that make them accessible in digital OER – open educational resources).

The project website and more information about the project will be published soon. Watch this space!
