At a time when the climate crisis is advancing, it is important to educate about sustainability from an early age, not only for the well-being of the planet but also for the future of the next generation.
In the context of ClearClimate, which aims to improve climate information services, the board game Our Sustainable Planet was developed with the aim of bringing the younger generations closer to environmental issues and sharing with them sustainable behaviour that they can adopt in their everyday lives.
Aimed primarily at boys and girls in the 10-12 age group, “Our Sustainable Planet” consists of four different packs of cards, a map and tokens symbolising carbon dioxide molecules. The entire game is replicable with recycled materials, and can be customised according to one’s own context and geographical area, to make the game experience as close as possible to the reality that children live every day.
This game aims to be an educational resource to be used in the classroom, but also during extracurricular activities or at home with children.
“Our Sustainable Planet” is now available, both in Italian and English, on the CESIE website in the “Resources” section or by clicking here.
