With Pride: Volunteering Experience in Greece to promote equality and human rights

We are seeking for a young volunteer age between 18-30 years old for 10 months evs project that will be hold in Thessaloniki (Greece).
With Pride project focuses in promoting and raising awareness towards LGBTQI+ community by organizing a series of activities.
The hosting organization is Thessaloniki Pride, a civil society organisation with the goal of promoting the visibility of sexual orientation minorities (gay, lesbian and bi people) and gender minorities (trans persons), as well as supporting equality and human rights in the greater area of Thessaloniki.
Evs volunteer will be involved in organizing seminars and workshops related to human rights, equality and intercultural understanding.
In addition, volunteers will be responsible in organizing awareness activities and social events around the city.
Apart from the LGBTQI+ oriented seminars the volunteer will also have the chance to participate in three main seminars on Media (Radio, Journalism and Video-making).
Volunteer should be an open-minded person willing to learn, to improve her/himself.
The selection of the participants is mostly base on their motivation and personal interest in the topics of the project.

- Basic level of English language
Where: Thessaloniki (Greece)
Duration: 10 months
When: from 1st November 2018
Accommodation and allowance: Volunteer will receive the accommodation and three meals per day through a catering service. In addition, at the beginning of each month the volunteers will receive pocket money for the whole month.
Travel costs: covered by the project with a limit of 275 euros.
What is EVS?
EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It enables all young people legally resident in Europe, aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
