Would you like to live a unique life experience abroad and improve your professional competences working with children? Toledo waiting for you!

We are looking for two volunteers aged between 18 and 30 years for a European volunteering project “PROJECT IN THE SCHOLASTIC FAILURE” funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, which will take place in Toledo (Spain) from 10 September to 10 June 2018.

Volunteers will be hosted by llere Association Socioeducativa, a social non-profit-making organization which aims at contributing to the disappearance of attitudes of discrimination, intolerance, oppression and pursuit of a few human groups on others, being based on policies of racial, cultural, sexual, economic, religious, ideological, ethical discrimination, having special sensibility with the most vulnerable groups as the infancy, ethnic minority, individual and collective groups in risk of social and cultural exclusion.

The volunteers will be involved in following activities at social and educational development.

  • Monitoring the child’s educational process
  • Home visits
  • Coordination with stakeholders (schools, social services, municipalities, educational delegations, other entities, minors…)
  • Support for the school curriculum in the classroom,
  • Playgrounds
  • Sporting activities

They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the host association in the management of some projects aimed at educational, social and cultural development, through translations, charity festivals, leisure activities, outdoor sports, and training workshops.

Voluntary profile

  • Age 18 – 30 years
  • Nationality or residence: Italian
  • Language: Basic level of English
  • The volunteer should be an open-minded person who is willing to learn and improve himself or herself.

Evs Information

  • Where:Toledo(Spain)
  • Reception organization: llere Association Socioeducatica
  • Duration: 10 months, 10 September 2018 -10 June 2019
  • Accommodation: The volunteer will be staying in a single room with shared flat with other volunteers
  • Pocket/food money: volunteer will receive 150 euros food money plus 120 euros pocket money monthly
  • Linguistic support: At the beginning, the volunteers will receive an intense language course
  • Travel costs: covered by the programme by 270 euros.

What is EVS?

EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It enables all young people legally resident in Europe, aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
